James Bond Z3…1996 One owner with 79k Miles

In the classic Silver and Red this was the first year of the famed Z3.

A lot of fun for the money! I predict these cars will follow right behind the ZCoupe and MCoupe in collectibility. After all, for the price and the easy maintenance cost you can’t find anything even close.

The 1.9L 4cyl is extremely lively with just under 140Hp it’s all in the right place. Check with many mechanics and they will suggest the 1.9′s for mileage, maintenance and the fact that they weren’t driven hard like many of the M or 6′s were.

If you look around, it will be hard to find one with such low miles. When doing a price comparison, also do yourself a favor and make sure you put in for the mileage….it makes a huge difference on KBB.

We have this priced way below trade in value now in the winter at $7,250.

It will go up in the spring and with more reconditioning, but this is the price as it sits now.

The Major 70k Service performed less than a year and 4k miles ago….it will be an affordable AND appreciating vehicle for sure.

My brother drove it for about 7 months and it is registered in CA now (2nd registration in 17 years) so we are technically the 2nd owners. The previous owners drove it as a weekend car and then ended up basically storing it in Palm Springs area and only putting a couple thousand miles a year on it from mid 2001 to 2012 when we bought it.

Besides the major service, we also have changed oil twice with Mobil 1 synthetic…once after purchase and then again in October 2012.

We only use Chevron 91 gas with techron. You could burn 87 though.

Have had many of the common problem areas repaired.

*rear window installed in December 2012

*sagging glove box repaired in December 2012

*drivers door handle repaired in December 2012

*new ZHP M Shift Knob to be installed January 2013

*still has the seat bushings “rocking seats” to be done. You can easily drive, but I had it out this past weekend and if I was to keep would fix for sure.

*would also replace the front right Pirelli to match the other Bridgestones.

*dent in rear right of trunk from golf bag and clubs falling on car in desert home garage. NEVER in ACCIDENT. All OEM stickers and body panels in place.

The BMW Z3 was the first modern mass-market roadster produced by BMW, as well as the first new BMW model assembled in the United States. The Z in Z3 originally stood for Zukunft (German for future). (The very first BMW assembled in the US was the E36/5, 318i that rolled off the Spartanburg Plant assembly line beginning in October 1994.) The Z3 was introduced as a 1996 model year vehicle, shortly after being featured in the James Bond movie, GoldenEye. At that time Karen Sortito created the BMW campaign for the film GoldenEye.^[3] Afterwards, while the film was number one at the box office, sales of the car spiked. The entire 1996 BMW Z3 roadster production run, more than 15,000 roadsters, was sold out by the time the car was introduced.

1970 International Travelall, RatRod, Gasser…Vintage Beach Cruiser!

My racecar cage fabricator cut the top off and welded in a top quality, professional roll cage. Very original and hard to find International with a monster V8, dual exhaust, twin gas tanks, Edelbrock Carbs and Air Cleaner.

Primed and ready for paint or Vinyl.

We were going to notch and bag it, turn into a beach woody, but decided to drive as is. Get’s a lot of stares and thumbs up and all the kids want to ride in it!

Original seats and interior. I do have the rear windows from the roof and just put in a new radiator and fan switch!

A couple tons of fun for reduced price of $3600!! It will go up again in the spring…..

1979 Mercedes 300cd, 242k miles, 2 car enthusiast families had owned since new!!

$7,900 with a ton of extra parts and huge binder and logs of all maintenance!

Ed and Paul Kramer of the Autokennel were the first owners until they sold it to my father and I in 2004. We have driven sporadically and had bilsteins, michellin radials, a/c fixed….YES it blows cold air.

Henry is a bullet proof Mercedes and the door close like a vault. The dashboard and interior are near perfect with no cracks in dash or any missing knobs switches etc.

Ed Kramer logged every fill up of diesel and used additive at every fill up as well. We have maintained in the same meticulous fashion, but frankly just don’t drive him anymore.
